Attleboro – Joan M. (Ouellette) Meagher, 80, of South Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Joseph R. Meagher, Jr. for sixty-one loving years. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Marie V. Thibault.
Joan worked at General Electric for many years until her retirement. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed going on daily walks at La Salette Shrine with her husband. Joan also enjoyed looking at and sharing photos of her great-grandchildren on her iPad, playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and her dear friends. She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty years.
Besides her beloved husband, Joan leaves two sons, Joseph R. Meagher, III and his wife, Linda, and James P. Meagher and his wife, Carmel; six grandchildren, Matthew Meagher and his wife, Maura, Katie Sweeney and her husband, Mike, Kevin Meagher and his wife, Steph, Janine Wunchel and her husband, Chad, Kelly Pacheco and her husband, Kyle, and Mike Meagher and six great-grandchidren, Claire, Paige, Myles, Brody, Wyatt and Thor.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 8th, at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private. Flowers and visitation are respectfully omitted.
