PACKER, John Michael, age 55, of Attleboro, MA passed away at home on February 7, 2021 due to unexpected complications from a recent surgery. He was the loving and devoted husband of Rebecca L. Packer and loving and proud father of his son, Ryan Packer and daughter, Lauren Packer. He is also survived by his parents John and Joyce Packer of North Attleboro, MA and his brother Eric Packer, his wife Donna and their children also of North Attleboro, MA. His brother-in-law James Taylor of Attleboro, MA and his family Jennifer Taylor and their children. His sister-in-law Patricia Taylor and her partner David McCarthy, and Judith Quinlisk and her husband Walter and their daughter of Walpole, MA.
John was born on May 22, 1965 in Pawtucket, RI. He was a graduate of the class of 1983 at Bishop Feehan high school. John majored in Engineering at the University of Massachusetts graduating with honors in 1987. Upon graduation he started working in Sales for the company that he loved, Fluid Industrial Associates (FIA) of Woburn, MA. During his career with FIA he had roles of increasing responsibility and was named President and Chief Operating Officer in 2013. His career at FIA spanned over 30 years. Throughout his tenure and leadership, as President, FIA continued to grow and evolve to new heights. He was a loyal, passionate and dedicated mentor, role model and leader who will always be remembered for his solid, steady leadership and guidance. John was also very active in the FHRA professional association and served in a number of roles of responsibility in this organization and as President of FHRA in 2019.
John's cherished family was his pride and joy. He and his wife Rebecca were high school sweethearts and had been married for 30 years. He loved spending time with family and was so proud of the accomplishments of his son Ryan and daughter Lauren. He especially enjoyed family ski trips to Bretton Woods, NH and summer vacations on Cape Cod. He loved teaching his children how to ski or golf, delighting in their progress and skill. John was so talented at so many things and always enjoyed sharing his experiences with others John was a passionate golfer, he was a member of Highland Country Club in Attleboro, MA for over 25 years, more recently he was a member of TPC, Boston in Norton, MA. John was also an avid skier, gardener, New England sports fan and car buff. He was determined, organized and generous with his time always ready to help others in both his personal and professional life. His positivity, talent and kindness were an inspiration to those around him and will be missed by all.

A private ceremony will take place for immediate family due to the current COVID pandemic.
