Such wonderful tributes here thank you for sharing them. I met John in Junior High School and we reconnected at Highland Country Club in 1997.

He was my partner for many tournaments and we always had a great time. We didn’t always play good golf but we competed and enjoyed our time together often catching up on what was happening with our families and work too.

Michele and I enjoyed seeing Rebecca and John when we could. Busy schedules made it tough but when we were able to connect those were good times too.

As it is with a friend like John, when you encounter them after a long time of not seeing them you pick up right where you left off as though it was yesterday.

I trust that it will be the same when we see him in heaven. Know that John will continue to be present to you through the Holy Spirit. May the grace and peace of Jesus comfort us all but especially Rebecca, Ryan and Lauren.

I had the pleasure of playing golf with John many times over the years at Highland County Club. A quiet, unassuming man of high integrity. I'm so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
