I am William Thomas Eagleton, born 1951. No doubt some relation. I stumbled upon this notice while searching for James Francisco Eagleton, who passed Dec 4, 2019, in California. Growing seems a thread in Eagletons... and love of God. As an altar boy, black masses for funerals stumped me. They go to a better place, I reasoned as a child of 11. Funerals became a white mass shortly after. Truely, it is hard to know when we cry for our loss and when for theirs of a bit more time to live and love. We weep together and hope they and we all meet one day.

Mr. Eagleton was my sixth grade science teacher. He was a very kind man and a good teacher. I pray the Lord will comfort his family at this time.

Bill and I became friends when we taught together at East Middle. Bill's positive attitude and sense of humor carried us both through some challenging days. Later, it was Bill who helped open the door for our church's worship at Trinity Chapel. Bill was our person of contact. I looked forward to our meeting together with each contract renewal. This always stood out: he loved his family; he loved life; he loved his church, which reflected his love for God. Bill knew God's love for him in Christ. May God's promises comfort his family in this time of grief and fog.
