Norman E. Resseguie Obituary
Norman E. Resseguie, 90, of Scranton, formerly of Mount Cobb, passed away on Sunday Sept. 8, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.

He was born in Scranton on July 31, 1929, and was the son of the late Earl and Marion (Warnke) Resseguie.

He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Norman retired from Fitchburg Coated Products, Moosic, after many years of employment. Norman was a lifelong member of Elm Park United Methodist Church and a Freemason at Schiller Lodge 345. Norman loved spending time with his family and traveling with his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Martha.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Jones) Resseguie, who died Aug. 27, 2018; daughters, Cynthia Brodowsky-Novak, Mary Lou Leonard and Kimberely Resseguie; and granddaughter, Jennifer Dempsey.

Norman is survived by his grandchildren; Dawn Dempsey and companion, Robert Florek, Scranton; Christian Benjamin and wife, Debbie, Factoryville; Corinne Dempsey and companion, Damien Boland, Covington Twp.; Joy Thomas and husband, Vinod, Atlanta; Adam Brodowsky, Mount Cobb; Jessica Leonard, Pittsburgh; Megan Lewis and husband, Dale, Spring Brook Twp.; and his great-grandchildren, Andrew Gruden, Scranton; Calvin Paholec, Factoryville; Bobby Paholec, Factoryville; Natasha Poholec, Sacramento; Samantha Benjamin, Factoryville; James Lewis, Scott Twp.; Logan and Grayson Chabal, Covington Twp.; Abraham and Alexandra Thomas, Atlanta; Blake Lewis, Spring Brook Twp.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with the Rev. Eric Luczak of the Maple Lake United Methodist Church and the Daleville Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 5:30 until time of service.
