Robert Boyko, Dickson City, died Thursday at home. His wife of 57 years, the former Bernice Faltynowicz Boyko, died Aug. 28, 2015.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Peter and Amelia (Mildred) Zombek Faltynowicz, he was a member of St. Adalbert's Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City. He was a graduate of Scranton public schools and served with the United States Army during the Korean War. Before retirement, he was employed by B&D Co., Caldwell, N.J., for 28 years.

He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother and uncle who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an active member of AA since 1971. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are three children, Robert Boyko and wife, Jet, North Carolina; Joseph Boyko and wife, Vicki, North Carolina; and Barbara Bayne, Effort; grandchildren, Desirae, Brian, Jesse and Joseph Jr.; great-grandson, Wyatt; a brother, Peter Boyko, Dickson City; sisters, Rita Gilroy and husband, Robert, Taylor; and Dorothy Saicic and husband, John, Glendora, N.J.; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 10 in St. Adalbert's PNCC, Dickson City. Interment, St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Dickson City.

Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Christian Wake Service will be held Sunday at 7. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Adalbert's Endowment Fund, 515 Mary St., Dickson City, PA 18519.
