Ruth A. Tully, 87, of the Bell Mountain section of Scranton, died Friday afternoon peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Russell Tully. The couple were married 67 years.

Born April 20, 1931, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Arscott. She was raised in Scranton and in Pittsburgh. Ruth was a member of United Baptist Church of Taylor and formerly a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Scranton. Before her, retirement, Ruth was self-employed as a beautician.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by her daughters, Paulette Karlavige and husband, Joseph, of Scranton; and Patricia A. Pronko and husband, John, of Scott Twp.; her son, Russell Tully, of New River, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Joseph Karlavige and wife, Sue Ann; William Karlavige; Keith Karlavige and wife, Jennifer; Russell Hiller and fiancée, Briana Cieciorka; and Holly Ann Mosatiello and husband, Ryan; five great-grandchildren, Bryn, Timothy, Kaelynn, Allie and Molly.

Ruth was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Marcia Tully; her sister, Lois Henehan.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton, Pa., with the Rev. David Barrett and the Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser as officiating clergy. Interment will be conducted at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp., Pa.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
