Charles W. Turner, 86, Kingsley, died Wednesday in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, N.Y. His wife, Joan Marie Livingston Turner, died Feb. 18, 2002.

Born in Ozone Park, N.Y., the son of the late Henry and Anna Snyder Turner, he was a retired police officer, having served in Queens, N.Y., and was a member of St. Pius X Church, St. John Vianney Parish in Royal. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Charles is survived by two daughters, Lori McCloskey, of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., and Kathy Pearce of Carbondale; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Michael Kirwin will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, St. John Vianney Parish, Route 106, Royal. Entombment will be in Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

There will be a viewing on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson.
