Norma Jane Heinz Johnson, 89, of Scranton, Pa., the fourth of seven born to Carl and Ethel Heinz, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, in Miami, Fla.

Jane, as all her friends and family referred to her, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and more. She was an entrepreneur, a caretaker, a philanthropist and a women who always stood up for what was right.

Jane was a proud resident of Austin, Texas, where she has resided since 1955, and owned Jane's Restaurant, 3500 Guadalupe, in downtown Austin.

Jane is survived by her children, Linda (Jimmy) Whitaker and Deborah Clakley; as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer, Bonnie, Ashley; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She meets her husband of 37 years, Hobson Johnson; daughters, Bonnie Bachman and Cheryl Austin; and grandson, Gary Shane Clakley, in heaven.

Jane was a role model to her family and friends and will be missed dearly.

A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel Inc., 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery.
