Robert Martini, 90, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, died Wednesday evening in Regional Hospital of Scranton. His loving wife of 66 years is Dolores Malecki Martini.

Born in Old Forge, son of the late Angelo and Pauline Rossi Martini, he was educated in the Old Forge School District. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge after four years of service. Bob was employed most of his life by Empire Contracting, subsequent to which he worked at McKinney Mfg. In his earlier years, he was a member of the former Giovanile Society of Old Forge.

Bob's life was centered around his family. His wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. The family pets over the years brought him a tremendous amount of joy.

Also surviving in addition to his wife are son, Robert Martini and wife, Andrea, Old Forge; daughter, Deborah Malone and husband, Hugh, West Wyoming; three granddaughters, Vanessa Kramer and companion, Joe Galada; Angela Martini and companion, Jason Durling; and Jessica Malone and companion, John Ciechoski; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Bryce and T.J. Kramer and Bryn Ciechoski; sister, Matilda Schwartz, Old Forge; and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Malone; and brothers, Carlo and Roman Martini.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services LLC, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge, with services by the Rev. James E. Thyren. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to call Saturday morning from 9 to 11.
