Brian Robert Westington, Lincoln, Calif., passed away at home on Jan. 5, 2019, due to complications brought on by his battle with lung cancer.

Born June 9, 1974, in Peckville, Pa., he was the son of Ilona Marushock Westington and the late Robert Westington of Jermyn.

He bravely served his country for more than 20 years in the United States Air Force as a medical lab tech, instructor and was an OSI agent when he retired. He was currently employed as a security manager at Sierra Nevada Corp. and was previously a volunteer firefighter in Jermyn, Pa., and Fletcher, Okla.

He leaves behind a wife, Roxana Artenie Westington; daughters, Diana and Michaela, of the home; a sister, Tanya Westington, Norristown, Pa.; as well as several aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Alexandra Westington; paternal grandparents, William and Mary Westington and stepgrandmother, Irene; maternal grandparents, George and Mary Marushock; and three uncles, John Marushock, George Marushock and Julius Nagy.

Brian was a loving husband, a devoted father and a loyal friend. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed greatly. He had a keen sense of direction and a love of adventure. He enjoyed whitewater rafting, skiing, volleyball and traveling with his family. He was a genuine person who was happy drinking a beer, spending time with loved ones and watching a game.
