Anna Hlavaty "Nana," of Greenfield Twp., died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Andrea Maxwell, in Peckville. She was the wife of the late Andrew "Dye" Hlavaty, who died March 18, 1995. A special thank you to Tricia White, Daniel White Jr. and Taylor, her caregivers.

Born in Jermyn, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kraley.

She attended Jermyn schools and worked at the Clifford Dress Factory for 42 years. She was a lifetime member of St. John Vianney Church, Montdale, and the Greenfield Twp. Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Anna loved being with her grandchildren, cooking, baking, canning and enjoyed her trips to the casinos and scratch off lottery tickets.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Allied Hospice nurses and the staff at the Abington Manor for taking good care of our Nana.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Kilmer (Bob Chindemi) and Andrea Maxwell; five grandchildren, Laurie Dippel (Brian), Jeff Kilmer, Dale Kilmer (Tammy), Tricia White (Danny) and Melissa Canfield; eight great-grandchildren, Seth and Josh Dippel, Dan "D.J." She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, John; and a sister, Pauline Sheridan.

A blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, by the Rev. Michael J. Kirwin. Interment to follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
