Kenneth "Charlie" Hall Sr. Obituary

Kenneth "Charlie" Hall Sr. of Scranton died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at home with his loving family by his side. His wife of more than 38 years is the former Judy Fox.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Kenneth Robert Hall and Carolyn Stumm Hall "chee chee."

Before his retirement, he was employed as a caregiver by Allied Services.

He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, VFW Post #25, and the Tauras Club.

He enjoyed visiting the casinos, playing bingo, viewing television, spending time with his favorite dogs Lucky and Faith, but most of all spending time with his family. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all. He had a very large heart. In one conversation, he made you feel like you knew him all his life and made you feel like family. He had a big hearty laugh and a smile we all will miss the most.

Also surviving are his children, Crystal LaRue and husband, Brian; Kenneth C. Hall Jr. and wife, Megan; and Shawn Hall; seven grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Sweppenhiser and husband, Mark; sister-in-law, Janet Snyder and Russel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lorelei Hall; and a sister, Marylin Vanluvanee Hall.

The funeral will be conducted Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., Scranton. All attending are kindly asked to proceed directly to church. Interment at Fairview Memorial Park will follow. Family and friends may pay their respects Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton. Please note all CDC guidelines will be observed including face coverings, social distancing, and refraining of physical contact with the family. Also, in order to accommodate all visitors, there may be period of waiting before entering the funeral home. Please pay your respects in a timely manner so that others may do so.

The family has requested that children and people with health issues not attend. Please say a prayer instead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name in care of 328 Charles St., Scranton, PA 18508.
