Gertrude M. Belotti Obituary

Gertrude M. Belotti, age 93, of Old Forge, died Friday morning at the Allied Hospice Center. She was the widow of Leonard Belotti, who passed away in 1994.

She was born in Pittston, daughter of the late Angelo and Margaret Terrano Emma, and was a graduate of the Tunkhannock High School. She was a lifetime worker in the area garment industry.

She was a member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, and the Ladies Sunday Classic Bowling League.

She was beloved by her family who always came first. She loved cooking, baking and gardening and will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving is a son, Leonard Belotti, and wife, Mary, Harding; a daughter, Margaret Ann Belotti, with whom she resided; grandchildren who knew her as Digadee, Michael Salerno, Rachel Corradino, Christa Manwah, Brianna Morris and Alyssa Belotti; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Lilah Salerno; brother, John Emma, Doylestown; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Adele Salerno; brothers, Carmel, Samuel and Joseph Emma; sisters, Grace Hazenski and Angeline Jasinski; longtime friends, Marion Resio, Celia Maciborski, Olga Mecca, Eleanor Nalevanko and Eleanor Mancini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church, Grace and Lawrence St., Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. August Ricciardi, pastor. Interment will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. The Palermo & Zawacki Funeral Home Inc., 409 N. Main St., Old Forge, is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no public calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Connect Church, 406 N. Main St., Taylor, PA 18517.
