James Dombkowski Obituary

James Dombkowski, 84, of Dickson City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at his private residence, Archbald.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late John Dombkowski and Eva Sosnoski, who immigrated from Poland. He was a loving husband, caring father, supportive brother, and benevolent friend. He actively and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for four years, United States Air Force Reserve for two years, and United States Army for 20 years, both domestic and foreign, and served in the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the federal government for 17 years as a civil servant for the armed forces.

James enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, cinema, antique and classic automobiles, building model airplanes, and listening to music. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer, of 53 years of marriage; son, Timothy; sisters, Joanne and Lillian; brother, Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John.

A private memorial service will be held at Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home at 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City. Interment with military honors will take place at Fort Indiantown Gap.
