Paulette (Cucura) Keswick Obituary

Paulette Cucura Keswick, 76, died Sept. 27, 2020, at her daughter's home in Marina, Calif. She had fought a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Paulette Marie was born in Olyphant, Pa., to Elizabeth and Paul Cucura. She grew up there with her eight siblings and graduated from Olyphant High School in 1962. She was married to Lynn Hoover in 1963 and they had three children. In 1976, they moved their family out to California's Monterey Peninsula. Her husband, Lynn, died in 1988 and she remarried in 1993 to Jack Keswick.

She is survived by her three children, Donna, Timothy and Melissa Hoover; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and her sister, Christine Turi.

Paulette was a unique individual who lived life fully and on her own terms. She was an aficionado of challenging game shows, and friends and family quickly learned to never call when Jeopardy was on.

She is fondly remembered by her seven surviving siblings, Regina Nalevanko, of Blakely, Pa.; Barbara Maggio, of Manhattan, N.Y.; Andrew Cucura, of Rome, N.Y.; Paul Cucura, of Stuart, Fla.; Richard Cucura, of Media, Pa.; Lawrence Cucura, of Carmel, Calif.; and Mary Slawski, of Clarks Summit, Pa.

She was laid to rest with her husband, best friend and soulmate, Jack.
