Joyce Fenstermacher Obituary

Joyce Fenstermacher, 88, passed to eternal life on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.

She was born in Scranton to the late Brenton and Doris Baer and she was predeceased by her husband, J. Gordon Fenstermacher, of 54 years. She graduated from Central High in Scranton and from the University of Miami in Coral Gables. She had a successful 43-year career as a Realtor earning many awards and several professional designations including certified residential appraiser, certified residential specialist, graduate Realtor institute and her broker's license. She was active with her church, Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where she served in many positions. She also enjoyed acting and singing with the theater and opera society where she played several key roles. She also belonged to the Republican Women's group and she enjoyed golfing at Colonial Country Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Miller; and sons, Pete Fenstermacher (wife, Mary) and Chris Fenstermacher; four grandchildren, Ryan Fenstermacher, Kyle Miller, Tyler Miller and Farrah Fenstermacher; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 1801 Colonial Road, Harrisburg. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
