Winifred "Winnie" McHugh Roscioli, 77, of Pittston Twp., passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Born in Plymouth on July 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Marie Goss McHugh. Educated in Scranton schools, she was employed at Gold Star for 32 years before retirement. On June 18, 1976, Winnie married her best friend and beloved husband of 44 years, Lou Roscioli. Also surviving are her children, Lavinia Houck; Nelson Helbing and wife, Helen; and Louis Roscioli and wife, Hollie; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Paul McHugh and wife, Gerri; brother-in-law, Jerry Laubaugh; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Anna and Margaret; brother, Patrick; and grandson, Rocco Roscioli. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Friends and family may pay their respects Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks will be required.
