Romilda R. Bussacco, 93, of Old Forge, passed away Thursday in the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. She was the widow of Archie Bussacco, who preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2007. Born and raised in Old Forge, daughter of the late Gustino and Edith Santini Tomassoni, she was a graduate of Old Forge High School. Romilda was employed by Garlett Manufacturing, Old Forge, for many years and retired from Polarized Meats, Moosic. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's Church (Prince of Peace Parish), Old Forge. Her family would like to thoughtfully acknowledge both the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania and Compassionate Care Hospice for the remarkable care given to her during her stay and final days. Surviving are her son, Michael Bussacco, and wife, Bernadette, of Scranton; her brother, Eugene "Butch" Tomassoni, and wife, Dolores, of Old Forge; her sister, Norma Semenza, of Old Forge; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Patrick Bussacco; her brother, Elmo Tomassoni; and her sister, Rose Klimek. Services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family under the direction of Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services LLC, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge.
