Joan D. Bogdanski, of Auburn, N.Y., died Wednesday at the Commons on St. Anthony, Auburn. Her husband, Robert, died Jan. 9, 2020. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and the late Jean Petruseski Daubenhauser. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, and attended East Stroudsburg College and Cayuga County Community College. Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer J. Bogdanski and husband, Anthony Gonzales, Hoboken, N.J.; a brother-in-law, Donald J. Bogdanski, Rochester, N.Y.; and sister-in-law, Joan H. Bogdanski, Scranton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elleanore J. Koch. Joan was a lover of all animals, especial dogs and cats. She enjoyed musical theater and also singing. She also enjoyed oil painting and appreciation of art. A private blessing service officiated by the Rev. Janusz A. Lucarz of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral was held at Sznyter Funeral Home, Scranton. Interment followed in St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cemetery.
