James Golden, 77, of Dunmore, died Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Susie Cruser Neville Golden. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late James and Marion Danner Golden Lombardo and was a graduate of Saint Paul's High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Green Ridge Auto Mart for many years then worked at Coccia Ford until retirement. Also surviving are two daughters, Geralyn Hopkins and husband, Tom, of Moosic; and Shannon Golden and fiancé, Bill Wiebel, of Tunkhannock; a sister, Mary Alice Abdo and husband, Ed, of Honesdale; a stepson, Patrick Neville and wife, Patrice, of Scranton; seven grandchildren, Brieanna, Alexandria, Justin, Hailey, Ian, Hunter and Samantha; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James G. Golden. He had a passion for sports, especially the Eagles. He will be remembered for his dry wit, keen sense of humor and kind heart. He could light up any room with his laughter and jokes. We would like to thank Debbie English of Traditional Health Care for her loving care and compassion over the last few years, as well as the many doctors, nurses, and staff members at the VA Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary of Mount Carmel, 322 Chestnut St., Dunmore. Interment will be private in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements, Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St., Dunmore.
