Marie Marabell Marcy, 83, of Scranton, and formerly of Tunkhannock, died Saturday evening after a brief illness. Born Jan. 23, 1938, and raised in Tunkhannock, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Ruth Marabell. A 1955 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, she then pursued a degree in college before beginning a career as a paralegal and legal secretary for various local law firms. Marie will long be remembered for her strong work ethic and her love of music and dancing. Above all else however came her family. They meant the world to her. She is survived by her children, Todd Marcy, Scranton; Karen Borden and husband, John, Tunkhannock; grandchildren, Matthew and Tanya Montross, and Connor Borden; a great-grandson, Cole Knight; a brother, Theodore Marabell and wife, Stella, Tunkhannock; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles "Chuckie" Marcy Jr.; and brothers, Joseph, Lewis and Donald Marabell. Private arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K.
