Josephine Grossman Obituary
"Josie" was born on Nov. 19, 1918, in Steene. She was the youngest daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Hocky Oberly.
Her life revolved around caring for her family, cooking, baking and tending her flowers and farm house, and lending a willing ear to anyone who needed to talk. Gram, or "GG" as affectionately called, welcomed many into her home and will be dearly missed.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Wayne Memorial Hospital Hospice staff, Wayne County Area Aging Agency, Care Givers of America for the support they provided. Also a special thanks to Rita Langendoerfer for her caring and kindness.
Josie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Heath and husband, Bob, of Lansdale; eight grandchildren, Cindy Rittenhouse and husband, Jeff; Jim Grossman and wife, Valerie; Ed Grossman and wife, Amy; Jenny Osborne and husband, John; Susan Bacovin and husband, John; Sherry Fitzgerald and husband, Brendan; Amy Watson and husband, Mark; and Megan Cheeseman; great-grandchildren, Becky, Stephanie, Jocelyn, Landen, Heston, Regan, Cameron, Lydia, Mandy, Chandler, Landry, Finley, Anna, Robby, Elizabeth, Connor, Dylan, Grace, Emma, Maddie, Jacob and Rylie; great-great-grandchildren, Jonathon and Gianna; former daughter-in-law, Karen (Grossman) Burlein; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald in 1967; three brothers and five sisters.
A private Mass of Christian Burial with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery will be celebrated at the convenience of her family. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home Inc., Honesdale.

Dear Sharon & Bob and family,
