Dear Anne, David, Fiona, Linda and Families,
My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your wonderful dad, Ian. My family and I am totally heartbroken to hear this devastating news. Ian was the master genealogist in our family and he gave me so much information and knowledge on the Nye family that I never knew before. We had a strong, and loving, common bond, as we both loved to find out about our family's past.
As my family and I live in Canada, we learned many things about our own family that Ian told us about. He was generous and kind beyond words. Ian was a one in a million gentleman and I loved him so very much. Anne and Ian and my family would Skype together and always kept in touch by email or regular mail.
I know he is now reunited with my wonderful dad, Wilfred Nye, and all our NYE family members in Heaven. May his sweet soul rest in eternal peace and happiness. We will eternally miss him. Much love and strength to you all during this very trying time.
Love and Hugs,
Kathy Nye, Esther Kalan Nye, Cheryl Nye and Wilfred Nye (In Heaven)

It was with great sadness that we learned of Ian's passing. My heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to Ian's beautiful family; Anne, David, Fiona, Linda and families, at this devastating time. Ian was such a kind, charming, intelligent, and gracious gentlemen of whom we had the greatest pleasure of knowing for a short time. It was an honour to be a relative of his. I send my love and warm wishes to the whole family.

Yoh and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Ian's family. I will forever be grateful for Ian's friendship and the generosity with which he shared his extensive genealogical research with us and brought together so many strands of the Nye family from all over the world. I'm glad to have known him, and that he was able to meet my parents, Paul B. Nye and Margaret A. Nye, before their passing.
