I didnt know him but my father who was in RCT as a young man ( K . Preece ) was in Singapore and knew him in late 1950s. He also " baby sat" Little Jenny at Changi airport once he commented to me several times .

I was in the RCT and had the privilege of working at Kings Buildings on the embankment. At the time it was the offices of the BRITISH FORCES BROADCASTING SERVICE and I frequently came into contact with Derek. Fond memories and such a nice man, may he rest peacefully.

We had the great pleasure of working with him on CSE tours of the Middle East and Arabian Gulf during the late 1960's. A lovely man! Condolences to all his family and friends. Shirley and Johnny.

Worked with him in 1970s on many CSE shows. I was a serving member of HM Forces. Basil Elmes was show co ordinater. He had all our respect.

Memories of very happy times spent together in Cyprus in the 1960's and especially allowing us to have our wedding reception on your roof also giving us your beautiful daughter as a bridesmaid !
