Frances Kay Beck MacDougall

Frances Kay Beck MacDougall Estero, Florida Frances Kay Beck MacDougall, 76, passed away suddenly April 20, 2013. She was born March 25, 1937, in Saginaw, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late Dr. Frank K. and Emily R. Beck. Kay moved to Florida in 1981 and became a resident, spending four months a year at her second home in Fontana, Wisconsin. After selling her northern home, she became a year-round Florida resident. She participated as a Director of Lee Mental Health for more than 20 years and was active as a fund raiser for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Kay was a world traveler and loved to visit remote islands and exotic destinations. She was an avid bridge player and golfer, and a longtime member of The Forest Country Club, Fort Myers, Florida. Kay was a graduate of Northwestern University and Port Huron High School. Kay is survived by her sister Barbara Beck Donovan of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, two great nieces, Christina Knowles and Jennifer (Shawn) McPhie, and a great grand niece Amarah. Also surviving is longtime friend, Thomas E. Long of Wheaton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Peter K. Gilmore and Christopher E. Gilmore, niece Kay Ann Knowles, and nephew Myles (Mike) Knowles. Private services were held.
