Horace Wilson

Horace Wilson Port Huron Horace Wilson, 96, of Port Huron and formerly of Roseburg area, died Friday morning November 16, 2012 at the Harrington Inn Assisted Living, Port Huron. He was born October 31, 1916 in Yale the son of William T. and Miranda Donnenworth Wilson. His marriage to Leone B. Crawford was in Lakeport, Michigan September 6, 1941. Leone died December 2, 1995. Horace was a lifelong farmer and retired after 30 years with Mueller Brass Company, Port Huron, where he was yard tractor driver. He was a member of Brockway Lodge # 316, F. & A. M. and former Mason of the Year. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Drewyore of St. Clair Shores and Sue and David Miller of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Michael J. Drewyore of Clinton Twp, Anne Marie (Michael) Drewyore-Krapp of Warren and their mother Kathy, Miranda E. (Jeff) Adams of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Matthew M. and Jessica L. Drewyore and Kristopher Krapp and Brooke L. Krapp, Luca and Hattie Adams; great-great-great granddaughter Kayla Drewyore and many nieces and nephews and his special care-giver Sally Sawyer and the staff of the Harrington. Preceding his death were siblings Nora Brodin, Jerome, Glen, Woodrow and Morris (his twin) Wilson, Kathleen Hanstrom, granddaughter Ashley R. Miller and son-in-law Fred Drewyore. His family honors the memory of Horace and invite you to visit and share memories Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rene Wilson, deacon, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale. Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
