I have heard about the Powell girls for my entire life. Everyone loved them!! I am told that Shirley & Lyle would take me for walks at MSU when I was a baby. Their mom, Mattie, was my grandmother's (Verna) cousin and they were my dad's second cousins. My family always enjoyed visits from the Powells. Wonderful people who I am so proud to call family. Shirley lived a beautiful life and always looked so beautiful. She will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
