Barbara H. Armstrong East China Barbara H. Armstrong, 65, died on Monday, July 4, 2011 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was born on April 11, 1946 in Chicago and married Charles J. Armstrong on February 9, 1996 in Port Huron. Barbara was a Registered Nurse at Port Huron Hospital for over 30 years before her retirement. During this time she worked in utilization review, case review for mental health, and as head nurse on orthopedics. Golf was her passion, and Barb was a current member at Marysville Golf Course where she played in the Tuesday Night Swingers league. She was also a former member of St. Clair River Country Club where she loved the Wednesday morning league. She also enjoyed shopping, gardening, skiing, and spending time with her beloved family. She is survived by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Sharon (Gary) Smith of Marysville; a son, Donald (Amy) Goheski of DePere, Wisconsin; three step-children, April (Nathan) Heier of St. Clair Shores, Angela Armstrong of Dayton, Ohio, and Staff Sgt. First Class, Charles Armstrong II of Lakenheath, England; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Ashley, Noah, Michael, Alexander, Reece, and Callen; a brother, Robert (Jo) Morrison of North Carolina; and a nephew, Eric (Ashly) Morrison of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty Morrison. Memorial visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday in Marysville Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 in Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Alex Crittenden of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium. Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Hospice. To send condolences, visit
