Beatrice T. Mollan


Beatrice T. Mollan, 93, of Marysville, passed away on November 23, 2013 in Marwood Nursing and Rehab with her daughter by her side.

She was born on July 3, 1920 in Goodells, daughter of the late Lewis and Rachel Parks.

Beatrice married Herbert Mollan on March 4, 1944 in Goodells. He passed away on August 29, 2002.

She retired from Secretarial Service in Port Huron and moved to Florida where she enjoyed golf, shuffleboard and square dance for 25 years before returning to Michigan. She also attended church in Florida.

Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Barbara Thornsberry of Marysville; two grandchildren: Daniel (Tonja) Thornsberry of St. Clair and Deana (Frank) Dunsmore of Riley; three great-grandchildren: Megan Thornsberry, Christopher Dunsmore and Brandon Thornsberry; brother and sister-in-law, George (Judy) Moore of Clyde Twp.; foster brother, George Major of Atlanta, MI; and a foster brother, Jerry Major of Troy, MI.

A Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, Port Huron. Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate. Inurnment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Friday 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Lambs United Methodist Church.
