O'Neal J. Lachney
Services celebrating the life of O'Neal J. Lachney will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Brothers Jack Holt, Kenneth Hyde and Terry Bernard officiating. Burial will follow at Belledeau Cemetery in Belledeau Louisiana under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family asks that visitation be observed Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Lachney, 69, of Alexandria, passed from this life on January 3, 2013, at his residence.
During his working career he was an automotive mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Mr. Lachney was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. and Della Mayeaux Lachney; three brothers, Milton, Lester and Cleveland Lachney, and two sisters, Illie Guillot and Alice Carter.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, Pauline Mitchell Lachney; daughters, Linda Deville, Patricia Haney and fiancé Tracy Friday, and Cheryl Green and husband Jewell, Sr.; three sisters, Ora Dubroc, Eva Mae Dubroc and Mable Brown; eight grand children and three great grandchildren.
