Dearest Madear

Enjoyed a wonderful day at church today. I took my grand daughter, Trinity. The weather was cold, brisk with just enough snow to hinder the spirit but not the soul. Today will be our final interaction via email. I'll continue to share your love and unselfish gestures where ever I go. And yes I'm the daughter of Jake Ray, so from time to time he too shall have his say. I'm cut from the cloth of you both. I will always be grateful for having a father that stood for his wife and children dignity and rights as strong and upright heritage of a deep south that carried wounds to deep for any of his heirs to comprehend. And for a Mother that was was strong in her faith but that believe also in having the respect and honor of who she was and what she stood for. Thank you both for demonstrating that it is perfectly ok to demand dignity respect and honor by demonstrating it in your everyday lives. I'm happy you are all together once again. I will visit you all on Memorial Day 2014 celebration. Until we meet again keep the gates of Heaven open and watch over us all as we continue our journey in this ole world. Hugs and kisses your daughter, friend and most of all proud offspring. Ruthie.

Today (Sunday) started off with snow and cast over skies. But I was determined to see the sunshine beneathe the clouds so I started my day off with Church. It keeps the fond memories you served as an example by started your week off with giving thanks to God even in when clouds hung low. I remember you telling me as a little girl that one day I would understand the tears of sorrows but joy always comes in the morning. I look forward to the joy in the morning and hold on tight to the memories of our yester years. Give Daddy, Vincent, Charles and all the other love ones you are now reconnected with. In the mean time I keep doing what your demonstrated to us all to keep striving for...treating others with dignity, respect, but most of all love to our fellow man. All you grand and great grand children send their hugs and kisses. Love your daughter, friend Ruthie. I'm happy you are with loves ones whom have crossed over.

Your baby girl misses you so much. I remember you told me this day would come. I'm doing my best to carry on. I cherish my memories I have with me and you. Thank you so much for your unconditional love you gave to me and for your shoulder to lean on when life wasn't always fair. You made it all seem so easy. I wish I could have done more for you, but I will hold on to what you told me, I take comfort in that. I will do my best to continue your legacy with my children. I got a lot of catching up to do, cause you was one unique Lady/Mom. I love you and miss you dearly. Your baby Shirley

Today was a beautiful day. After attended church service I visited with some old friends The Johnsons..from Yazoo MS. Evelyns, Aaraon and the (3) of her (4) daughters. We all talked and laughed about the yester years we all spent together. Evelyn remember when you were here for the extended period of time for your surgeries and other times you visited with me and bertha. It was like you were sitting right there with us. I hope you saw blew James Jr. a kiss as he flew thru the clouds. Keep the light bright in Heaven. I know you are always with me as so are the many loves ones that have gone before us. Love Your Daughter and friend Ruthie..KCMO
