Alexandria - Services for Dale Rockett will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. B. David Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family requests visitation be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Due to Covid restrictions, social distancing and masks are required.

Mr. Rockett, 87, of Alexandria passed from this life, Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Alexandria.

He was strong in his faith and active member at Calvary Baptist Church, Alexandria. He loved woodworking and making things for his family. He was an avid gardener and loved helping others. During his working career he worked as an Agronomist in the Agriculture Soil Conservation Service for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Keri Lynne Rockett; parents, Travis and Dorothy McDougald Rockett.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Sylvia Taylor Rockett; daughter, Cheryl Rockett Boutte (Brad); grandchildren, Lauren Webb (Renick), Erin Miller (Mike); great grandchildren, Kate Webb, Peyton Miller, Renick Webb, III and Kade Miller; sister, Jean Rockett Lee; host of other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 5011 Jackson Street, Alexandria, LA 71303.
