Mrs. Arnold, 87, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021, in her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was a graduate of Pittsburg State University in Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, majoring in psychology and English. She was a member of Sigma Tau Delta, honorary fraternity in English, and Psi Chi, honorary fraternity in psychology. Later she did graduate work in counseling at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. She taught school in Arvada Junior High School, Arvada, Colorado. She was a 4-H club leader for ten years in Monte Vista, Colorado, and also worked for the Colorado State Agricultural Department.

When the family moved to Louisiana in 1977, she taught at Tioga and Pineville High Schools as a substitute teacher, then worked with the Girl Scouts for ten years as a Public Relations and Adult Development Director. Following her retirement in 1998 she did volunteer work at the camps. She served the council as a member of the Board of Directors until her retirement in 1998. She also was given the Continued Service Award in 1993 and the Continuous Service and Support Award in 1999.

She was a former member and pianist for the Worldwide church of God for forty years. She enjoyed many hobbies such as leather carving and gardening and had a life-long passion for stamp collecting. She loved flowers and was always excited to see her Christmas cactus bloom...which usually happened at Easter time!

She and her husband traveled extensively, visiting, and exploring the United States from coast to coast, as well as the Caribbean and Hawaii. Her particular interest lay in the buildings and customs of the Native Americans.
