Ball - Funeral services celebrating the life of Johnnie Brunson Roberts will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Kingsville Baptist Church, Ball with Reverend Bart Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family requests that visitation be observed at the church on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve include Ryan Elkins, Reagan Elkins, Thomas Roberts, Garrett Williams, Doug Brunson and Keith Brunson.

Mrs. Roberts, 91, of Ball, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Roberts was a lifelong member of Kingsville Baptist Church. Johnnie loved children and was involved in their lives as a Sunday school and Vacation Bible school teacher for many years. She continued that love in her employment as a teacher for 25 years at Calvary Baptist Church daycare. She was known for her gift of hospitality and always had extra room at her table.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dallas C. Roberts and her parents, Roy E. and Bertie Smith Brunson.

Those left to cherish her memory include son, Terry L. Roberts and wife, Bonnie; daughter, Linda R. Elkins and husband, Ronnie; brothers, Charles Brunson and wife, Ruth, L.E. Brunson and wife, Cheryl, Murrell Brunson, and Gaylord Brunson and wife, Jean; sister, Judy Brunson White and husband, Doyle; grandchildren, Ryan Elkins, Reagan Elkins and wife, Leslie, Errin Roberts and wife, Julie, Clay Roberts and fiancée, Maggie Hawthorne and Thomas Roberts; great grandchildren, Caden Elkins, Vianne Elkins, Samuel Roberts, Lillian Roberts; special cousin, Ayme Beeson and her fur babies, Jake, Tom and White Paws.

The family suggests memorials be made to The Sarah Thomson Memorial Offering, C/O Kingsville Baptist Church, 3911 Monroe Highway, Pineville, LA, 71360, or Heart of Louisiana Humane Society,

The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to her sister, Judy, for the loving care she provided over the past three years. They would also like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Shelly, Christine, Allison, Irma and Denise. Their care of our loved one is deeply appreciated.
