My prayers go out to the family and I am so sorry for your loss. May God heal your loss as He is still healing me with my loss.
My husband Joseph Anthony Siravo passed from cancer in Feb 2012. We were married 32 years. We knew about your loved one from my husband's family in Providence RI. My husband's cousins who live in RI mentioned to us the actor your loved one. My Joe and I researched everything about him to see if we were related. We found that Joe wasn't but We were blown away. How often does that happen not being related with the same name. This is a unique coincidence.
Again I am so sorry for your loss and I send you all my love and prayers.

God bless...... Shirley Siravo

Joe was a gifted and thoughtful down to earth gentleman. During the Jersey Boys tour here in Sacramento, California, my wife Karen and I had the opportunity of hosting Joe as a guest in our home. He made us feel like we were long lost friends. For dinner one night Joe made us a delicious soup that he prepared using his own hand cranked vegetable mill that he carried with him. We shared many stories, but his were always more interesting. He told us one about the time he was passing by the Giants Football Stadium and notice they were replacing the artificial turf. He asked if he could have some and permission was granted. Now if my memory serves me he had an apartment on the roof of a building, so with some help from friends, they were able to bring the turf up to the roof and laid it out making his backyard lawn. After the tour moved on we kept in touch via email. A prime example of his thoughtfulness was when the tsunami struck Japan. Joe contacted us concerned that we might have family there. We shared our lives for such a short time, but Joe will always have a special place in our hearts. Our sincere condolences to the Siravo family.

Joe was a wonderful and loving person. I met Joe in the summer while he was working on the Washington, DC subway as a construction worker. He was attending Stanford University and was 19 years old. We fell instantly in love with each other. Over the years, we lost contact, but I followed his film career. I always said one day I would visit him in New York, and I never did. I really regret that now. I would love to have seen him. I am happy to know he had a daughter who loved him so much and his life was filled with what he loved, acting!!! Rest in peace beautiful and loving soul.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey was deeply saddened to learn the news of Joe's death. He only appeared in one show with us, Chekhov's THE THREE SISTERS, but it was a memorable production, and Joe was our memorable Vershinin. Our condolences go out to all of Joe's family members and dear friends. We were proud to have him grace our stage. Bonnie J. Monte, Artistic Director

JOE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE. WE SHARED A HISTORY FROM 1995 WHEN HE STARRED IN MY MUSICAL SHEBA AS SOLOMON. WE STAYED FRIENDS FOR ALL THESE YEARS. HE OFTEN STAYED WITH US IN CALIFORNIA. WE'D CATCH UP, PERIODICALLY, ESPECIALLY WHEN HE WAS IN LOS ANGELES. WE HAD A WONDERFULTIME WTH ALLEGRA WHEN SHE WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL DECIDING ON HER FUTURE. JOE TOTALLY ADORED HER. I'M SO THRILLED THAT SHE MADE HIM A GRANDPA. WHEN JERSEY BOYS PLAYED THE AHMANSON IN L.A. I BOUGH A WHOLE ROLL OF SEATS AND HOSTED MY FAMILY FOR LUNCH WITH JOE BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE. HE WAS KIND AND FUN WITH ALL AGES, MEETING AND TRYING TO REMEMBER THE CONNECTIONS. SOME OF THE FAMILY, HE KNEW BECAUSE THEY CAME TO SEE SHEBA IN NYC. HE WAS OUR DREAM CAST, OPPOSSITE TAMARA TUNIE, MY DAUGHTER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER. WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME, ENDURING 3 BLIZZARDS WHILE WE WERE IN PRODUCTION. I'VE LOST A DEAR FRIEND AND I SHALL ALWAYS MISS HIM.
