Services celebrating the life of MSGT Lyle Edward Miller will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Bolton Chapel at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Alexandria, with Dr. Chris Thacker, Dr. Lee Weems, Reverend Mark Carroll and Reverend Greg Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family asks that visitation be observed at the church Friday, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.

Mr. Miller, 90, of Pineville, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Miller proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 27 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant.

He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Alexandria; a 3rd Degree Mason with Delta Lodge # 128 at Great Falls, Montana, he was honored as Deacon Emeritus at Pineville Park Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Miller and Freda Whittington Smith; maternal grandparents, John and Lita Whittington and sister, Marie Cummings and her husband Gordon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Paquita Morales Fort Miller; daughter, Dolly Carroll and husband Bob of Pineville; nieces, Judy Westfall of Lancaster, Virginia and Rose Stockton of Jacksonville, Florida; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be his grandsons and great grandsons.
