Williams "Bill" Walker
Funeral services for Williams "Bill" Walker, 83, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27th, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Wade Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 26th then Thursday, December 27th from 8 am until service time in the funeral home.
Bill, the son of James and Stella Walker was born February 12, 1929, in Vernon Parish, LA. He passed away Sunday, December 23rd at his residence in Leesville.
Bill formerly worked for the Houston Zoo for 14 years, then worked as a groundkeeper for the Allen Dale Housing in Leesville and was a general carpenter. He loved to dance and was a great dad, brother, granddad and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jennifer Walker, brothers, Clyde, Woodrow, Mack, AQ, Douglas, Red and Freddie and his sisters, Myrtle Bell and Geraldine.
He is survived by his children; William Paul Walker, Jr., of California, Brenda Martin of Lake Charles, Diane Walker of Leesville and Todd Walker of Leesville; brothers, Cecil R. Walker and James Kenneth Walker; sisters Joan Horton, Marculle Perry and Marqauiette Shelf all of Anacoco; grandchildren Cory and Dylan Walker
Memorial donations may be made to: the Bill Walker benefit fund at Merchant in Farmers Bank in Leesville or Hospice of Leesville.
