Mr. Pody, 72, of Alexandria, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011, at his home with his loving family surrounding him.

He attended Grace Church, Alexandria. He was President of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce for twenty years. Mr. Pody came to Alexandria in 1991 after having served eight years as mayor of Ruston. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 50 years, Sherry Williamson Pody; three sons, Stan Pody and wife Mary, Shawn Pody and wife Kelly, Chad Pody and wife Angie; one daughter, Sondra Pody Haygood and husband Greg; one sister, Lola Faye Pody Silmon; and eleven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Stan Pody, Shawn Pody, Chad Pody, Greg Haygood, Caleb Haygood, and Kevin Viator. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Ranson, Cynthia Graham, Jay Ellington, Chris Workman, and Brady Baudin.
