Winfred 'Windy' B. Needham

Funeral services for Winfred 'Windy' B. Needham will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Pastor Bart Walker officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Laurel Hills Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

The family requests visitation be held from 10 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 until shortly before time of services in the funeral home.

Mr. Needham, 90 of Pineville passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Franklin Needham and Maddie Azelda Williams, two brothers and seven sisters, and his first wife of 42 years, Hazel Miller.

Mr. Needham was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church, The Masonic Order (including the Belpoint Lodge #20 of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Blue Lodge Consistery of Lake Charles, Louisiana),; El Karrubah Shrine Club of Shreveport, Cenla Shrine Club, Buffoon Unit (Clowns), American Legion and VFW Chapters of Alexandria.

He is a retired Railroad Officer with Union Pacific Railroad with 44 years of service. He is a World War II Veteran, having served in the United States Coast Guard.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 15 years Jean G. Needham of Pineville;

Two stepsons, Bryan N. Cain (Allison) of Pineville, and Bruce K. Cain (Vicki) of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter, Donna Lou Dettmann (Charles) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; stepdaughters, Beth Calhoun (Mike) of Cresson, Texas and Janet L. Cain of Ben Brook, Texas; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71103.
