Carol Rudd Langston, 86, transitioned from this life on Feb. 3, 2018 at Big Bend Hospice.

Carol was born March 14, 1931 to the late Theo and Audrey McKenzie Rudd. Carol moved from Sopchoppy to Tallahassee as a young woman and made Tallahassee her home until her death. She was employed by Capital City Bank for many years and then Bill's Bookstore where she retired in 1999.

Carol was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. She had attended the Women's Joy Circle in which she made many close friends and enjoyed their fellowship.

Carol was an avid FSU fan and attended the football, basketball and baseball games until her health would no longer allow her. However, she continued to follow and pull for her beloved Seminoles.

She was predeceased by her former husband and father of her children, Dayton Langston; and brother-in-law, Charles Berry.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Langston (Charmaine) of Gainesville, Brenda Connell (Neal) of Tallahassee, and Wayne Langston (Pam) of Thomasville; sister, Valma Berry of Chattahoochee; brother, Tillman Rudd (Marion) of Sopchoppy; four grandchildren, Seirra Langston Wheeler, Jarred Langston, Tyler Langston and Kelly Connell Jonke.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of TMH and Elder Care Services for the companionate care given and special services over the years. And a sincere thank you to her many close friends who diligently stayed in touch with her and brought her meals on a regular basis.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 at Beggs Funeral Home, 3322 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee FL 32311 or (850) 942-2929, and a Celebration of Life will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 1689 Old St. Augustine Road in Tallahassee.
