Anna M. Urso

Anna M. (Chiaradio) Urso, 87, of Shore Road, Westerly, passed away prayerfully and peacefully at The Westerly Hospital surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. She was the wife of the late John L. Urso, Sr.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Angelina Chiaradio.
Anna worked for many years as a secretary for Stanley Bostitch. She was a communicant of St. Clare Church. She was known for her devotion to the Rosary and consistent Faith. She was an avid reader, accomplished knitter and a gifted cook.
She will be dearly missed by her three children, Angelo J. Urso, Peter J. Urso and Debra M. Carey and husband Jack, all of Westerly; eight grandchildren, Beau Urso, Michael (Angelica) Urso, William Urso, Jonathan Urso, Kaela (David) Cifonelli, and Tessa, Maura and John Carey, III; three step-grandchildren, Beatrice, Amber and Justin Price; four great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
Anna was predeceased by her son John L. Urso, Jr.; and seven siblings, Cosmo (Ann), George (Terry) and Samuel (Mary) Chiaradio, Rose (Angelo) Christina, Louise (Mario) Romano, Antoinette (Frank) Thackeray and Celina Perrone.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to Sabrina CNA and Hope Health Hospice; Paige RN, Erin RN, April CNA and Sandy SW for their extra special care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., Westerly on Saturday March 20, 2021 at 12:30p.m. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
