Funeral services will be held for Ruby Preussler, 95, of Coquille, at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 8, at the First Assembly of God Church, 457 E. Second St., in Coquille. Burial will be in Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens, in Coquille.

Ruby was born Sept. 23, 1911, in Brookings, S.D., to Senius and Laurine (Pedersen) Jensen. She died June 1, 2007, in Roseburg.

She grew up in South Dakota and was married to Raymond J. Preussler on June 26, 1929, in Brookings. They moved to Coquille in 1937. In 1948, she joined the First Assembly of God Church and became very active in the church. She taught Sunday school and children's church and was director of Women's Ministries for many years. She also was a child evangelism teacher in her home for many years.

She loved sewing, embroidering dish towels and other handmade items right up until her death. She moved to Roseburg in 2005 to be nearer to her family.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Betty and her husband, the Rev. Jim Bellmore of Sutherlin; Delores and her husband, Richard Taylor of Rocklin, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charley and Harry Jensen; and sisters, Stella Schulz and Lillian Bishman.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the First Assembly of God Church, 457 East Second St., Coquille, OR 97423, to be used to help purchase a van for the children's ministry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Amling/Schroeder Funeral Service, Coquille Chapel, 396-3846.

Dear Family,

I remember as a child going to her big fine white house up on the hill and going to Bible Class. It was always so much fun and she was such a dear little lady. She always had some kind of treats for us also and they were also very good too.
I am sorry for your Mom's passing but we know she is with Jesus now up in Heaven. I am sure she is telling all the little ones, in Heaven. her Bible stories as she told me and my brothers and sisters.
God Bless you all.
Sincerely,
Alice Ashenfelter/Cummins
