Sarah Wynell Goolsby, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2021 She retired from Franklin County Children Services after 29 years of service. She is preceded in death by parents, Benjamin Glover and Annie Kate Bell; brothers, Joe Ben and John Evan Glover; sister, Josephine Bell; daughter, Juanita Goolsby; granddaughter, Shayla Uddin, and son-in-law, Al Uddin. She is survived by daughters, Sharyn Goolsby and Donette Uddin; sons, Raymond Goolsby, Jr and Roy Goolsby; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Collin Bell, and aunt, Shirley Shipp. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Home-going services 12PM Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Ave. Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service. Interment, Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Dear Donnette, Sharyn, Ray and Roy,
I am so sorry to hear that your Mom, Mrs. Goolsby passed away. I just loved your Mom and I will forever remember her as a kind and warm person with a beautiful infectious spirit and smile.

To the family of Sarah Goolsby,
Sarah possessed the qualities of a Godly woman. She was beautiful in and out. You never heard a complaint or crossed word. Her character and demeanor was one to emulate. What a blessing and pleasure to know and to work with a woman with such a wonderful spirit. Tears are streaming because she was so special so I cannot imagine how difficult it is for you to say goodbye. But one day we will see Sarah again. She knows she has a mansion on high where the streets are paved with gold. My prayers to comfort go out to you at this time and beyond.

It is saddening to learn of Sarah's passing. I remember her as an outgoing, engaging person with whom it was a delight to converse during our time at Franklin County Children Services. May the memories of the pleasant times together be a source of comfort to your family.
