Bernard Knox Obituary
Bernard Knox was born Aug. 9, 1964, to the late John Henry and Clara B. Gatlin Knox in Palestine. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1982 and resided in Forrest City until his passing. He accepted Christ at an early age at Tomlin Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
Bernard worked as a truck driver for many years. However, he rose to the level of owner/operator and entrepreneurship by owning B. Knox Trucking. He was also the founder and president of Unified Riders Bikers Club M C of Forrest City.
Bernard was affectionately known as "Dimedropper." He was an exceptional gentleman and a man of integrity. He was kind and generous with a wonderful sense of humor but with very few words. His greatest joy was his family. He especially cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. The family will treasure the many years that we were fortunate to have him in our lives.
Bernard was preceded in death by John Knox, his father; Clara B. Knox, his mother; Irma Jennings, sister and Darrin Knox, brother.
Bernard passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital on Sunday, May 13, 2018, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie N. Turner, LaQuisha (Nicholas) King, Deshun Knox and Tisheena Knox; grandchildren, Dashia Walker, Aniyah Jordan, Keyana Gordon, Layla and Londyn King, Rylee, ZaKhyia and Decobin Flenoy Jr. and Kyree Knox; siblings, Alvertis Gatlin (Barbara) of Palestine, Linda Wilder (Elvis) of Houston, Texas, Janice Gatlin of Palestine, James Knox of Colt, Bernadine Gatlin of Houston, Texas, John (Rosie) Knox of Palestine, Charles Knox of Little Rock, Philicia Knox of Little Rock, Clara Knox of Little Rock, Endrea Knox (Leslie) of Conway, and Sidney Knox of Little Rock, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other Relatives and friends.
