Dennis Anderson Obituary
Dennis Anderson was born June 29, 1957, to Leevearn Brock-Anderson and Leroy Anderson Sr., in Madison where he was a lifelong resident.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a lifelong member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a choir member until his health began to fail. Dennis attended Forrest City High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1975. Dennis was an outdoorsman and had a love for football, basketball, fishing and hunting.
On July 21, 1984, Dennis was united in holy matrimony to Doreen Williams and to that union one child was born.
Dennis served 16 years in the United States National Guard, was employed for many years at Forrest City Machine Shop and was a member of The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge #145.
Dennis was called to eternal rest and departed his earthly life on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leevearn and Leroy Anderson Sr., and six siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Doreen Anderson; three sons, Dennis (LaToya) Haggins, Nicholas Anderson and Antonio Pendleton; five grandchildren, Ireanna Haggins, Serenity Anderson, Jasiri Haggins and Derrick and Alex Metcalf; five sisters, Patricia (James), Eunice (Robert), Dorothy (Tommy), Anita (Neal), and Wendy; three brothers, Stanley (Judy), Leroy Jr. (Diane) and Melvin (Linda), and a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dennis loved his church, family, children, grandchildren and wife, and his wife loved her "Bud." He will truly be missed by his family and friends. Dennis had a love for people, talking and laughing. He was taught by the best, his parents, who instilled in him good Christian values and morals. Dennis strived to be an upstanding Christian, family man and friend to those he encountered.
