IN LOVING MEMORY OF ROGER WILLIAM ZAMPATTI, JR. Roger passed November 28, 2018, at the age of 76. He was born June 6, 1942, in Eureka, California. He graduated from Fortuna High School in 1960 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served four years. His father, Roger W. Zampatti, Sr., served in the U. S. Navy and was killed during WWII on May 23, 1942, thirteen days before his son was born. During his childhood, Roger loved spending time with his grandparents, Victor and Leola Zampatti and his cousin Dick Biagi, who was like a brother to him. Family and friends meant everything to him. Roger enjoyed his time with his best friends Jerry and Linda Guess, especially the fishing trips. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roger W. Zampatti, Sr., his mother, Beverly Tanner Blue and his brother, Michael Jennings. He is survived by his daughters Lynette Marshall (Kevin), Wis.; and Angela Zampatti, Idaho; his stepson Alex Floyd, Calif; his former wife and best friend Ava Zampatti, Calif; sisters Marilyn Allen and Linda Tanner Burns, Calif.; nephews Malin Keisner, Wash., and Kyle Winfield Burns, Calif.; two grandchildren, John Kemp, Jr. (Kimberly), Calif.; and Jennifer Lopez (Justin), Idaho; and his great grandchildren Austin and Aubrey Kemp and Jace and Jenna Lopez. Dad, you will forever be in my heart! Until we can be together again. "Love you always, Beak" At Roger's request, no services are planned.
