ROY KLOPP "FOREVER 39" Roy "Butch" Klopp passed away on June 25, 2017. Butch was born in Pennsylvania and migrated to California with his Mother and Father when he was just 6 years old. The family landed in McCloud, California where Butch started school and made lifelong friends. Butch returned to Pennsylvania for a brief period but came back to McCloud to work in the mill, the woods and learn to drive the heavy machinery that is used in logging. He drove heavy equipment until his retirement. Butch married the love of his life Mary Lynn in 1978. This union brought three children in to Butch's life, Bradly, Stacia and Gary. The couple was happily wed until Mary Lynn's death just a few years after their marriage. Butch enjoyed golf and bowling, camping and hunting. His true enjoyment came when ocean fishing with family on the California coast. He loved the fishing and the story-telling that came after. He was a gifted story-teller. Butch is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lynn, his parents Irwin and Verna Klopp, his sister Lorraine Correa and brother-in-law Clayton Correa, his sister-in-law Joan Klopp and his niece Sharon Klopp. He is survived by his children Bradly, Stacia and Gary Bardling and his brother Franklin "Bill" Klopp. He has grandchildren and nieces and nephews who miss him greatly. There will be a graveside service for Butch at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park on Friday, August 17 at 11 am in Mt. Shasta, California. A celebration of life will follow at the Axe and Rose in McCloud, California at 2 pm. Butch was born August 1, 1939.
