David G. Gomo

ORANGE -- David G. Gomo, 74, of Orange, died peacefully at Dartmouth on Saturday, July 10, 2010, following a brief illness.David was born May 3, 1936, in Barre to Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Gomo. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Chukawan (AO-100). He had his own cleaning business, worked at National Life and retired from the Rock of Ages. He enjoyed doing many things with his wife, Linda, such as riding their Gold Wing, snow machining, hunting and fishing. His recent hobby was playing cards on Sundays with good friends.He had a special project going on. He was building a shooting building so he could be warm while hunting.His wife, Linda, predeceased him on May 21, 2002.He is survived by a son, David L. Gomo and wife Laurie of Orange, a daughter, Alyson Gomo of Burlington; three grandsons, David, Keith and Thomas Gomo, two great grandsons; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, including a special cousin, Shirley.A graveside service will be in the West Branch Cemetery in Stowe, Friday, July 16, 2 p.m. A potluck gathering will immediately follow at the Orange Town Hall.Memorial contributions in David's name may be sent to either the American Cancer Society, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495 or Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Pearsons Funeral Home located at 70 Church St. Lyndonville.
