Margaret Bingham Obituary

NORTHFIELD - Margaret A. "Peggy" Bingham, 82, died March 2, 2018, at Mayo Continuing Care in Northfield. She was born June 25, 1935, in New York, the daughter of William and Margaret Bingham.
She earned a bachelor's degree in art from Columbia University and a master's degree in psychology from Vermont College.
She worked as an educator in Philadelphia after graduating from Columbia, and then moved to Barre where she had a private psychotherapy practice.
Ms. Bingham was a painter, photographer, lover of animals and world traveler.
A Mass of Christian burial and celebration of her life will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018. There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Arlington, Massachusetts.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, P.O. Box 687, Montpelier, VT 05601.
Arrangements are in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer Street, Barre.
