He later entered the Data Systems industry working as a federal contractor for DISC, CSC, and WCG before his retirement. Don attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. In his younger years, Don was very athletic, playing baseball, basketball, racquetball, softball, and running. He enjoyed gardening and hiking, climbing many 14er's. As a spectator, Don was especially fond of the Denver Broncos and St. Louis Cardinals. He was also an avid bridge player and golfer.
